Bank Of America ("Defenders" Cash Maximizer)

Are you tired of your saving account of 0.20% APY or money market of 0.35% APY. Although I like Fidelity's FSLXX (5.20%), Bank of America has a hidden cash maximizer (5.36% up to 5.73% APY, $2.5K minimum) called "Defenders of Wildlife" worth mentioning. Keep in mind that you have to sign up online to get that high rate, provided that you love wildlife and bank of america =).

My Rent And My Family

As much as I hate to rent this high, I'm still settled at my current place. But considering 3 people living in the 1-bedroom, I guess it is not a bad deal after all. My rent is at the edge of the rentometer. Try it yourself.

Free Credit Report

There are three reports at annualcreditreport.com. They are Equifax, TransUnion and Experian. For some reason, I can't get Experian online. Keep in mind that they are just reports not scores unless you pay $7 or so. Citibank likes to do hard pull whenever I sign up for their account. I think I got 5 hits from them recently. Oh well. Sometimes I see weird stuff on my report. For example I saw Bally Fitness which I never signed up for. Luckily the account was closed in the same month.
